White ink: Give it a go

What is White ink?

Xerox speciality white ink is an opaque white ink which can be used to enable creative use of non-white materials, including coloured, clear, metallic and mirrored paper, board and synthetic materials, either on its own in a single or multiple layers, or in combination with CMYK and metallic inks, enabling greater creativity in printed materials.

How Does it Work?

Maximising the impact of speciality inks starts at the project outset and outcomes are best when we are able to advise and support from project inception.

Using white ink can be as simple as setting the required elements as spot colour called ‘White’ in your design. As designs get more complex however, so do the processes required to configure the files. Xerox have put together the following video tutorial, but the Clarkeprint team are on hand to advise and support. We’re even happy to run training sessions for your teams to help you get off to a flying start!

How Can I Try it for Free?!

For a limited time, we’re giving our talented creative community the opportunity to experiment with white ink for free! Simply create your design (or adapt something you already have) and we will print a pack of 32 A6 postcards, on a selection of our beautiful coloured paper stocks, and post them out to you completely free of charge*.

The PDF file should be configured as A6 (148mm x 105mm, portrait or landscape), with 3mm bleed and crop marks, using the video above as a guide for how to set your artwork appropriately.
