Whilst 2020 has been a year of uncertainty, with lockdowns, travel restrictions, and a no deal BREXIT looming on the horizon, at Clarkeprint, we have taken this opportunity to invest in new technologies and office refurbishments, ensuring future improvements to productivity, quality and versatility, in a continually competitive market.

In the last nine months, we have invested in a variety of new printing equipment, most notably becoming the first company in Europe to install two Xerox Iridesse 8-colour digital presses.

Higher quality print, quicker turnaround times, increased productivity and more flexibility. These are just some of the benefits of the Iridesse presses. However, the real magic is in the addition of gold, silver, opaque white and clear inks enabling endless design possibilities for creative agencies and in-house marketing departments.

Nigel Clarke, our Director, explains “We are looking forward to showcasing the broader spectrum of services we can offer with the speciality inks, and make unique and interesting designs on beautiful paper.”

Although the Iridesse printers are the jewel in the crown, our investment has not stopped there. A new Kodak platesetter has improved efficiency within the litho production department, and a Veloblade digital die-cutting machine offers us a faster turnaround and greater flexibility in short run packaging production and die-cut print, opening up ever more opportunities for designers and marketeers.

In addition to investing in printing technology, time has also been spent refurbishing both factory and office spaces, integrating a better workflow between departments, and creating more space for our growing large format printing facility. This is topped off with improved amenities for employees, designed to support collaboration and idea sharing to get the most out of our extensive production facilities.

In a year of uncertainty one thing that we can be sure of is that our investments ensure that high quality, efficiency and first-rate service remain at the heart of our business.
